MORRISTOWN, N.J., March 13, 2012 – Best-selling author and television personality Dr. Mark Liponis will speak in the College of Saint Elizabeth Dolan Performance Hall, on April 9, 2012, at 7:30 p.m. Dr. Liponis, who is the medical director of Canyon Ranch Health Resorts, will be speaking about ultralongevity, and he will explore ways to live a long life without illness, disability, or loss of function. Following his lecture, there will be book sales and signing. He is the author of UltraLongevity: the Seven-Step Program for a Younger, Healthier You, and UltraPrevention: The Six-Week Plan That Will Make You Healthy for Life. Tickets are $10 for the public and $2 for students with a valid student identification. Dr. Liponis’s appearance is in conjunction with the CSE Wellness Week, April 9, 2012, through April 14, 2012. Dr. Liponis is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Medical School and is board certified in internal medicine. After surviving a bout of kidney cancer, he developed a special interest in nutrition, preventive and integrative medicine. At Canyon Ranch, he has set up programs in optimal living, weight loss, smoking cessation, and stress management.
